Serve

For even the Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve...

Mark 10:45

For a Christian, service is not only an important means by which we grow as disciples, but is also a key way our community sees the love of Christ. To serve is at the core of what it means to follow Jesus.

Immanuel Cares is how we show the love of Jesus to our community.

Whether it is preparing meals for the Capital City Rescue Mission, serving our community through cleanup crews, serving as a relay center for Operation Christmas Child, doing service and construction projects for families in need in our community, providing needed supplies for families through our partnership with Rensselaer County, caroling in front of Crisp Cannoli each Christmas, volunteering at Alpha Pregnancy Center (to name a few recent opportunities), we are striving to make a difference in our communities.

Serve in our church

Use your unique gifts to help build the Kingdom.

Whether it is serving in the nursery, teaching a class, making soup and delivering meals to those going through a tough time, helping  new guests feel welcome and make connections, or serving on the worship team, there are so many ways to serve the people who make up your faith family.
