Good morning Immanuel Family,
This coming Sunday will be our last outdoor worship service. Don't miss this opportunity to worship with the entire congregation in the beauty of the outdoors. If the forecast changes and we have to move inside, we will notify you Saturday night by 8 pm. If that happens, you will need to reserve your space for the indoor service. In such an instance, there would be no VBS or Immanuelkids programming during that worship service.
We will be moving indoors for our worship service on Sunday, September 12th with two services, 8:30 am and 10:30 am. We will have the Immanuel Kids Program during the 10:30 am service only. If you do not have children, we encourage you to consider attending the earlier service to allow others to take advantage of our Immanuelkids program.
We are monitoring the situation with regard to the current guidelines for COVID 19. Based on the current recommendations by the Rensselaer County Department of Health we are encouraging unvaccinated individuals to wear a mask at all times while indoors. As always we are grateful for your cooperation and continued prayers as we keep everyone updated as we move forward.
We are concluding our series on the life of Elijah, Not Alone, as we see how to break out of the limited view of today and what it means to live with an eye to finishing well. We will be learning from 2 Kings 2:1-13.
Sunday is also the last day of our VBS summer program. It is the final day for anyone who would like to donate to VBS's mission, Alpha Pregnancy Center. We appreciate everyone who has donated thus far so we can help meet the needs of young moms who need our love and support. If you have any questions or need more information, please contact our VBS Director, Noel Kondracki at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Connecting Team will be meeting this Sunday, September 5th after the worship service in the sanctuary for a short informational and training meeting. We are asking all current members of the team as well as anyone who might be interested in joining the team to attend. If you have any questions, please contact Mary Plekan at email@example.com.
Backyard Mission Opportunites
We need volunteers to make bagged lunches for the Capital City Rescue Mission on Tuesday, September 14th at 12:15 pm at the church. Donations are also needed for the bagged lunches. If you are able to donate, the items needed are 5 pounds of ham and 10 loaves of plain white bread.
If you are interested in volunteering or can make a donation of a needed item, please contact Debbie Johnson by text at 518-331-9428 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
